High Force Hotel - Newbiggin (Durham)

The property was recently renovated and beautifully kept, I recommend!

Excellent value, room was newly renovated, staff were exceptionally attentive! I enjoyed the room with a bath. I had coffee, free WiFi, and a kettle in it. The location was magnificent, next to bars and pubs. This hotel met needs!

The room with lovely decor. Our location was unbeatable in lovely surroundings. Moreover, it was near to the spectacular High Force waterfall as well as a star gazing safari to the waterfall.

Cozy atmosphere with friendly staff made our stay enjoyable. Breakfast cooked to order was great. The Wi-Fi connection was annoyingly poor. Super close to great hiking trails, perfect for a weekend getaway.

Some rooms overlook a busy road, so be prepared for potential noise if that's your situation. Wardrobe space seemed cramped, with a lack of personal areas like a dressing table, which might be inconvenient for some travelers.

The check-in was warm and cute, and the roaring fire created a cozy vibe. The king room was comfortable, and the walk-in shower was a nice touch. Breakfast was excellent, cooked to order, with plenty of options. Plus, the location is ideal with the bar just across the street!

I had a good stay at High Force, where the staff's warmth shone through. The cozy atmosphere made it easy to relax after my day of exploring the fine natural surroundings, particularly the nearby waterfall. The breakfast offered a nice variety, though a bit of a wait for food occurred during peak times.

The hotel was super cosy and the staff were amazin and so friendly. Our room was comfy and had all we needed. The food was really good and we loved sittin by the window watchin the world go by. Great location for some beauti walks around the waterfalls too! Breakfast really hit the spot, definitely recommend it!

The walk to the waterfall was a bit longer than expected and could use better signs. The wifi was kinda slow at times.

Our stay was fantastic! We enjoyed relaxing in the lovely garden area and the sun terrace, soaking up the beautiful views. The only downside was that the room felt a bit cramped with furniture, but it didn't take away from our overall experience. 😊

The waterfall walk is amazing, and the homely vibe is lovely.

The décor was really lovely and felt high-end. The en suite bathroom was surprisingly spacious and super clean. The toiletries were nice. It was a cozy space, even if it was a bit on the smaller side. Nice touches overall!

A Relaxing Group Getaway

We enjoyed a warm and inviting atmosphere with great food. The veggies stood out, though a little more meat in the dishes would enhance the dining experience. A dog-friendly environment. Future guests should look for the dog-friendly areas, a real bonus!

Comfortable stay with great breakfasts, but the dining room was chilly.
